The door is a winter workstation
Montréal sidewalks are salted. Boots carry that mix onto wood, ceramic and vestibule mats. A recurring visit can wash the entry and the first metres of floor. It cannot stand at the door every evening.
Mats, a boot tray, and a household habit of leaving grit at the threshold do more between visits than any product. Outdoor stairs on a plex are the building’s problem and yours; we do not chip ice.
Deep visits in spring often start at that same entry. Recurring cleaning keeps it from becoming the whole job.
